Twice! *sob!* I have no self-control! See what I bought:
I bought the black on black skull brocade. And some gorgeous green on black floral brocade.
My costumes are coming along swimmingly in my mind. Now I just need to sit down and start sewing!
After I get done fondling all the pretty fabric!!!!
::Pets the pretties::
that fabric looks GORGEOUS! I'm sure that the saving throw even plus your will was stupidly high for it, like 35+ dc20(lol sorry HUGE D&D nerd)Just wondering who are you going to the con as?
I'm going as several different personas, actually, because I can't just have *one* costume!!!
Still, the Random DE outfit is now accounted for, with the addition of the black on bloack skulls :)
THe Green on black floral is going on my Maquerade Ball costume for Portus.
Still haven't anything made/designed for the Roaring '20's Farewell Ball for Terminus yet :P
Oh dear Lord, those fabrics are beautiful!! *is hugely jealous*
And the fact that you've got your concepts and need only to start materializing them, well... *brood*
If I hadnt' anything in mind at the time, the damage to my wallet would have been much, much larger!
Only thing I haven't designed yet is my gown for the Roaring '20's Farewell Ball for Terminus. :P
Is that really the theme (for the Farewell Ball)? Interesting... I'm not a big fan, but I suppose it will be a fun challenge!
I don't remember if it's "Official", but it has been bandied about in the Terminus chatroom. THe Hotel is very 1920's vintage Art Deco in style and I think they're trying to tie it in.
And you're right, it'll be a fun challenge to combine Wizarding Wear into Roaring Twenties! (although I think I might be onto a pattern!)
Oooh, true that! I really need to find a good source for patterns. Any suggestions?
As for the Ball, I read on the website and they mention the 1920s as being a theme you might want to consider for your outfit at the Ball. However, they're also "fine" with anything from stereotypical Wizard Wear, to formal, to jeans if you really want.
Amazing! Thank you so much. I'll go check some of those out. I'm a relative novice at using patterns, but I'm all about trial and error. With some really cheap fabric, of course ;)
